Many of you saw our cry for help to the DIY Network to fix our back yard. GO HERE and watch if you want to feel better about your yard. Obviously we did not allure them with our video, so this year, we are tackling the back yard OURSELVES. We did hire a concrete company, though. But the excavating began today upon the arrival of the Bobcat. This has been our afternoon thus far…
1 p.m. Bobcat gets dropped off by Sunbelt Rentals when no one is home.
2 p.m. Bobcat keys go missing and I call Joe.
3:30 p.m. Joe finds keys in Bobcat’s ignition.
3:31 p.m. Joe stares at me, dumbfounded.
3:45 p.m. Joe starts the Bobcat then attempts to reverse it out of the driveway. He is unsuccessful.
4:00 p.m. Joe is still in Bobcat, profusely sweating, reading the instruction manual. Against his wishes, I call Sunbelt Rentals.
4:01 p.m. “Hi, we can’t get the Bobcat to reverse.” (Very country accent) “Ma’am, did you turn off the brake?” “um, no?” “You see, you have to turn off the brake, that big red button directly in front of your face, in order– to move– the Bobcat.” “ohh right, hu hu, this one doesn’t look like the ones we’re used tooook bye”
Pray that we don’t kill ourselves or waste money (which is a close second).
